While stumbling around the web, I discovered these surreal images by Phillip Toledano. Mr. Toledano has been taking odd pictures since he as 11 years old, and he believes, “a photograph should be like an unfinished sentence. There should be space for questions.” 
I loathe plastic baby dolls, as you probably already know (see “The Search for a Natural Baby Doll”). Not only do I believe these dolls may be made of toxic materials, are aesthetically displeasing, smell, etc., but they seem to be able to be fruitful and multiply! If your experiences are like mine, plastic baby dolls enter your life repeatedly as a gift for your little girl. I have even had one of my daughter’s friends give her plastic baby doll two years in a row for her birthday! Why would any one need so many plastic baby dolls, unless of course you are Mr. Toledano.
Oompa Toys offers many great natural and organic dolls sure to please any little girl and her crunchy mama. As my daughter’s birthday approaches, I will steer well meaning, doll giving friends and family to Oompa Toys. Oompa Toys is one of my favorite, natural toy stores!

Oh my goodness. That is a riot! Thankfully, we have no plastic dolls. No plastic toys either…yet! Most of our friends and family know we are kinda anti-plastic
I love Oompa toys. Off to check out their dolls! I did order a “nonny doll” from Nova Naturals and it’s great.
oh the dread of plastic dolls… they are signs of evil in my book! although our family and friends are aware of our no plastic toys rule, i have a feeling they will conveniently forget about it when it comes to dolls. i should find some i really like and channel that buying… off to oompa (love that site, btw!) to look into dolls. THANKS!

Good luck with your family. Even though my family knows we don’t like plastic, battery operated toys, they sometimes forget. It is frustrating, but they are getting better.

Wow, uhmmm….. what interesting pictures. We do have a few plastic babies that were slated to quietly dissapear in the move later this month. We bought our oldest daughter Deedee a doll from Under The Nile that she absolutely loves. It was well worth the high price. We even got her a matching outfit to wear with her baby. LOL. It’s really frustraing with my family. My mom says that she can’t afford to buy the good stuff, so we always wind up with severaly cheapy plastic items that break in less than a month, if they even worked in the first place. I don’t understand why can’t understand that if she’d used the same amount she’d spent on the other items combined, she could get one really cool toy.
This is a non-profit arts organization that recycles toys for kids to make their own toys.
