I'd be devoted if my area made it easier. The only type of organic produce I can buy is apples. That's why I'm planting a garden this year! If you can't buy 'em, grow 'em!

I am between a temperate and devoted consumer. Trader Joe's makes it affordable and easy for me to be organic.

I am definitely a devoted consumer. We've adjusted our budgets and our lifestyle completely within the last two years and buy organic as much as possible. Granted organic can be more expensive, but with the adjustment of our budget we were able to reduce other aspects of our spending to incorporate the higher grocery prices.

I have to admit that I'm not as devoted as I'd like. I often can't get past the price difference. If conventional apples are $.98/lb and organic are $3.00/lb, I will probably buy the cheap ones, especially if they are local and the organic apples are from New Zealand. However, I am trying to think of the extra expense as a donation to a cause I believe in. This mindset has helped me overcome my reluctance to spend more money.

I just found this site and will visit it often! We write about "thrifty green" issues over at http://greenbabyguide.com.
