As a middle school teacher, mom, and environmentalist, I agree that we spend way too much time and energy making copies! It's tricky to find ways to avoid all that extra paper, since often the children end up using notebook paper instead of the printed stuff when I bypass copied sheets for my lessons. Still, it would save energy for them to be the ones recording the information instead of the copier--and it would most likely improve their learning as well. This is a good reminder for all of us xerox-addicts! Thanks! We blog about living green with little ones at http://greenbabyguide.com.
