My sister was born in 1978 with the aorta mispaced with the pulmonar artery.

She should have had a heart transplant but it was not done in these years.

Your story remind me of her short life and I am so glad and thankful of all the medecine advances.

Take care!

I have a really similar story having had my daughter at home and opting out of most of the testing, although we did have an ultrasound but that failed to show her heart defect. We did not find out she had TOF until she was 6 months old and having tet spells. Thankfully all went well with her surgery and she is now 16 months old with normal development - although she is still a peanut. It's good to read that I am not the only one still thankful for having a homebirth even with the medical issues. Thank you for sharing!
