Win 4 Reusable Chico Bags!
We love reusable shopping bags, but sometimes, it’s hard to remember to take them into the store. I’ve gotten much better about bringing my bags into the grocery store (I only have to run out to the car about once every two months now from the checkout line), but remembering my bags at other stores is a challenge. I usually walk out with my arms full of merchandise and fill my bags at the car.
I really like ChicoBags for shopping at stores, not just the natural food store. They sling over my shoulder (and my kids’ shoulders) easily and ball up nicely to fit inside my purse. Reusable bags are such a simple step we can all take to reduce our carbon footprint, but why is it so hard to remember to use them?

Using ChicoBag’s reusable tote bags reduces waste because they are long lasting and promote reuse. ChicoBag will even recycle your reusable bags when you are done with them. What makes ChicoBags better than many other reusable grocery bags is the compact pouch that is sewn into the seam on the interior of the tote bag. ChicoBags make it easy to carry a reusable shopping tote at all times. Single-use paper and plastic bags are harmful to the environment and use up 32% of landfill space because they can take hundreds of years to decompose. Americans use between 300 and 700 plastic bags per person each year, on average. 100 billion plastic shopping bags are used annually in the United States.
Thanks to Two Knobby Tires, we are giving away four Chico reusable bags to one lucky Eco Child’s Play reader. I put my bags back in the car after unpacking.
I have one small one hanging from my diaper bag and then I have all of the rest of them in my trunk.
I keep mine in my car also, but I make sure that before I leave for the store I place my purse on top of all of them so I have to grab them when I grab my purse. Of course, if I forget to do that, I most likely forget the bags too. I always remember to place them back in the car though! I would love some that would fit in my purse! My bags are over 10 years old and the heavy cotton and canvas ones that do not fold up very small. I won’t give them up for anything though. I just want to keep adding to them.
I always keep my shopping bag in my purse. Its right there when I pull out my wallet to pay.
I keep them on the back of my front door. When I go shopping I have my 4 year old carry them with him in his carseat. He has a better memory the I LOL.
I also keep a couple in the trunk just in case.
My method is to leave them in the car, so if I forget them, I have to go back to the car and get them. If you do that enough times, you start to remember. Thanks for the giveaway!
I keep them in my passenger seat floorboard where I can see them.
I live in an area where driving to the grocery store or farmer’s market is a necessity, unfortunately. So I leave my bags on my car seat. I can’t get into my car with out sitting on them–so you can bet that helps me remember to take them!
I keep my reusable bags in the same place every week. They always make it into car. It is remembering to bring them into the store that is the problem lol. I have had to go out to the car to get them!!
Yes, it’s all about habit. I’m obsessive about putting my reusable bags back in the car the next time I go out after using them. I’m working on remembering to bring them with me when I go to stores other than the supermarket.
