I keep the holder in my tote bag so I can use them whenever I'm out. They seem very sturdy, and are smooth [not rough wood like 'disposable' chopsticks]. I really like them. How is the bamboo glued together and compressed! It takes a lot of energy to compress bamboo. And if it's young bamboo being used, then it IS soft and not as durable as older bamboo.
