It’s great to see schools going green… though I’m a lot more concerned about what kind of cleaning products they are using than where they get their energy (though both are important). A recently released report by the Environmental Working Group, “Greener School Cleaners = Healthier Kids” identifies the fact that many cleaning supplies used in schools emit toxic airborne chemicals that our children are being exposed to. @Jay Auto The schools will not be 100% solar. It would take quite an array to power a school. For example, copy machines use a ton of power. As stated above, 20% of power will come from the panels.

Glad to see Irvine on the green map. Are these schools 100% solar. Once this technology is affordable (or unavoidable) we are going to see a tidal wave of conversions.
