I am seriously concerned about the repitition in originally legitimate comments - especially when the original comment is mine and it appears, in part, as repitition. Copy and paste? These copycats are clearly intelligent commentators. Not!

Hello. jason here. I am new to the community. First of all, I want to thank those that have put this together. It is a great place to learn and get more information. I justwanted to make an introductory post to introduce myself. Thanks for the sharing.

Why not write an article on seasonal cooking and eating local. Over 300 farmers leave the land every week, leaving that land to development, or to corporate farms that practice poor land practices and worse stewardship of the farms. Consumers just aren't mindful about where their food originates. It's a shame really, to be eating grapes in December and asparagus in January when it's abundantly clear that these crops don't grow locally at that time. Meanwhile, the crops that are available are overlooked. Americans, for the most part, seem to think that if you can afford it you should buy it. This is the plight of the small family farms.

Its nice to see someone bloging about why you should cook from scratch. Its something that all families should do but sadly, its quicker and easier for working parents to stick a ready meal in the oven, which is a shame...
