The rBGH is used to increase milk production in cows by messing with their hormones. Studies showed that these cows had increased mastitis and health problems, thus needing more antibiotics. I would assume that if we are drinking milk from cows with these hormones, the hormones traces will be found in the milk and our children are getting dosed up unintentionally. From milk to yogurt, to cheese, to ice cream, and anything contain dairy, children can easily become overexposed. It is suspected to be a cause in the cases of young girls growing mustaches and earlier development of breasts. Instead of finding "a cure" for breast cancer, maybe we should clean up our act and leave nature alone and some cancer would not be such a problem.

rBGH is illegal in every country and should be here in the US. Please contact your school and get educated, informed, and action-oriented. No one should have to have milk with artifical hormones.

Milk is a great beverage for kids, everyone for that matter. This article is a bunch of baloney. They try to scare you into thinking milk served in schools might some way be harmful if it comes from a cow that has been treated with rBGH. Growth hormones are in all female mammal species, has been, always will be. We've been drinking them in milk all the time. The artificial rBGH, like the naturally occuring ones have no effects on humans. This article is much to do about nothing. Get kids to stop eating ever meal at a fast food joint. Don't worry about your milk, it is very safe and nutricious. I think the author has a problem with consuming milk, maybe a closet non meat eater perhaps?
