It is pretty much common knowledge that Monsanto is an evil company amongst health and organic food advocates. With the influx of genetically modified organisms into agriculture, the company has been at the forefront of criticism.
Monsanto’s most famous product RoundUp is a genius of marketing convincing consumers it is safe and harmless, yet it is has been proven to cause birth defects and is toxic to beneficial insects and animals. And let’s not forget about superweeds it causes!

Not only is Monsanto responsible for many chemical products that are bad for our health and the environment, as well as covering this information up in order to continue to make profits, the company actually has sought out these sorts of products developed by others. Take for example Nutrasweet:
An accidental discovery during research on gastrointestinal hormones resulted in a uniquely sweet chemical: aspartame. During the clinical trials conducted on 7 infant monkeys as part of aspartame’s application for FDA approval, 1 monkey died and 5 other monkeys had grand mal seizures—yet somehow aspartame was still approved by the FDA in 1974. In 1985, Monsanto acquired the company responsible for aspartame’s manufacture (G.D. Searle) and began marketing the product as NutraSweet. Twenty years later, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released a report listing 94 health issues caused by aspartame.
Monsanto is not to be trusted. Don’t be fooled into thinking they care about human health. They are in the chemical business to make money, not improve our lives. With such a record, how could we trust them when they say GMO crops are safe?

Four years ago I read “Recaging the Beast” by an author with the last name Remington. It was the best book I have ever read and it changed my life. I changed my eating habits the second I finished the book. SInce then i now advocate for healthy food through internet, phone and mail. I write to politicians on the safety of food, i write or call gmo companies to have their gmo removed, i do many different tasks to do my part to keep organic food alive. My wish in this world is to see companies like Monsanto corporation shut down. My bigger wish is to see not only Monsanto shut down but also Dow, DuPont, BASF, ect shut down too. I just want healty food and water. I want to go shopping and not have to read every single ingredient of every food I pick up to see if it is healthy. I want fresh eggs from chickens like I ate them as a child (I grew up on a farm). I want good clean milk from a cow like I got when I was a child (my brother did the milking). I want fresh fruits like I picked right from our fruit trees on our farm that were never sprayed with chemicals. I just want healty food! I just want good clean water!.
