Make Bathtime Fun and Promote Independence with Under the Nile Organic Frog Wash Cloth

Posted in:

Under the Nile fair trade, organic cotton frog wash clothI love Under the Nile!  It is one of the first affordable organic cotton companies I discovered with my first child.  Both of my children could not have survived the teething stage without Under the Nile Organic Teething Toys!  I’ve recently discovered another delightful organic cotton product by the company: the Organic Frog Wash Cloth.

Made from hand-picked, 100% organic cotton grown in Egypt, the Organic Frog Wash Cloth, which is also available in duck form, makes bath time fun.  Of course, I don’t have to worry about safety, since it is made by Under the Nile.  The frog is dyed with natural, “metal-free” colors and is a fair trade product.

It is more of a mitt than a wash cloth, and in my experience, it helps promote independence with preschool age children.  My four-year-old son wants to wash his own body if he gets to wear the frog! Child development specialists often characterize age four as the “I can do it” stage. For example, children want to dress themselves, pour their own soymilk, use the toilet, and wash themselves in the tub.  I believe independence should be encouraged and supported, and I am pleased the Organic Frog Wash Cloth helps my son reach this developmental milestone.
