Z Recommends has a monthly feature highlighting toy recalls. The possessed puzzle I had previously written about has been recalled. Sounds on the Go and Sounds on the Farm have been recalled, not for driving parents insane, but for the puzzle piece knobs that can come off and pose a choking hazard. About 78,500 products are affected. There have been no injuries reported. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, “Consumers should immediately take this toy away from children and contact Small World Toys to obtain a free replacement toy.” I have emailed puzzlerecall@smallworldtoys.com and will let you know the response.
Here is the response:
Dear Consumer,
Thank you for contacting Small World Toys. We are voluntarily recalling the Puzzibilities/Ryan’s Room Sounds on the Farm (Item#24101) & Sounds on the Go Puzzles (Item#24102) because the knobs on the pieces may come off and present a possible choking hazard. The puzzles are identifiable by the wooden knobs, names of the puzzles on the top of the puzzle boards, & the respective item numbers on the lower center portion of the puzzle board. Please indicate which of the two items you have, and, if you have more than one puzzle, the quantities in your possession.

Please take the puzzle away from children and destroy or dispose of it. Also, please provide your name, address, email address, and telephone number. In turn we will be providing a replacement product comparable in price, and appropriate for your child’s current age. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a monetary refund. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing after your information is received, due to the high volume of inquiries.
Three toys are being offered as replacements, and only one of these products is wooden. You can view the replacement products here.
