I personally love the idea of giving live plants as promotional products. I would much more appreciate something green and living rather than the plastic crap I have received over the years that end up in the landfill as thanks for my years of service in education. Thank you Identity Links for giving consumers green choices, and thank you for supporting Eco Child’s Play.

Meh. Big Meh.
How about just not giving away crap that will die or be thrown away. Out of the gazillions of items they sell, a few are “green” How green is it to recycle a circuit board, using the resources that takes, only to have it end up in the garbage again anyway. After the trade show most this crap just finds it’s way back to the landfill.

Good points Andrew! I do think it is best not to giveaway trinkets, but if it is going to be done, companies should have green choices. Yesterday, I attended a conference that gave all participants a pen/highlighter. It was wrapped in a plastic bag to boot!
