Eco-friendly Mother’s Day Gifts: Krimson Klover sustainable fashion

atypicalMother’s Day is just ten days away, and if your mom is like me, she loves green, sustainable fashion.  One of my favorite eco-friendly brands is Krimson Klover.  Their unique designs coupled with their attention to sustainability allows me to feel guilt free while being fashionable.

Naturally beautiful, sophisticated yet practical.

Adventurous women express their femininity with our playful and vivacious luxury fiber sweaters and clothing. We are all about enjoying an active and full life, thus create knitwear that makes the Krimson Klover woman feel, and look good in all her daily pursuits. Fun, yet elegant patterns, bright colors and impeccable quality are at the core of this innovative collection.

We take our commitment to environmental and social responsibility very seriously by using Merino and Pima cotton yarns from sources that respect their animals, employees and Mother Earth. Finally, a women’s designer line of fashion and sport sweaters, skirts, dresses, hats, socks, tights and scarves designed especially for your sensibilities.

We were sent an Atypical Situation knit top.

This Krimson Klover sustainable fashion top would make the perfect eco-friendly Mother’s Day gift!

Space dye tunic with asymmetrical hem in the fron to add interest to any outfit. Pair with wedges and white jeans and your summer nights just got a whole lot cuter!

Yarn: 75% Viscose 25% Linen Space Dye

Unfortunately, viscose is not entirely natural, as it is made from wood pulp or bamboo which is then treated with caustic soda and carbon disulphide, according to Wise Geek.  One benefit of viscose is it uses less energy throughout its care than cotton.  Treehugger reports, “60% of the energy use for the cotton T comes from its care, while for the viscose blouse only 14% of the energy use comes cleaning.”  Despite it’s not 100% natural origins, it is an eco-friendly fabric when you consider the significant energy reduction from its care.

Another benefit of viscose is it makes this Krimson Klover top light and airy…perfect for a summer day.  In fact, I was pleasantly surprised at how this top fits and feels.  I ordered a size small, which is more fitted than the one on the model. I like that the sleeves are a little shorter and the irregular hem is fashion forward.  This top is perfect for warmer days.  I can’t wait to wear this top in Italy this summer!

Your mom or the mother of your children are sure to love any of the spring knitwear designs from Krimson Klover!
