LED Lighting Functional, Modern and Versatile too!
LED light bulbs and accompanying technology is fast becoming common place in our homes and business. With everyone from governments to the everyday consumer looking save money on their electricity bills and realising that sitting in the dark is no solution, technology leaders needed to come with an alternative. LED technology was the answer, so from kitchen lighting to ambient lighting in the lounge, background lighting in commercial settings to bulb in car lights, everywhere you turn these days, LED technology is there.
And it is this versatility that makes LED technology so welcome in so many different applications and settings. In the home, it can replace fluorescent strip lighting in kitchens and, just like the traditional shaped light bulb, in the lounge or other relaxing areas, LED light bulbs can be dimmed to create a less harsh light.
They can also be used outdoors too, offering brilliant illumination of shop signs, as well as road signs and in street lighting. Businesses also benefit from LED technology, with clusters of LED bulbs giving off a fabulous luminosity and, with different colours and sequences also available there seems no end to their versatility.
However, just because LED technology is new and modern, does not mean it fits only with new and modern surroundings – the opposite in fact. LED lighting can be tailored to sit comfortably within any setting or design. It can be an obvious feature or hidden away, casting a subtle glow.
But, for some, the main advantage of these tiny yet powerful bulbs and technology is the fact they give no toxins, no chemicals and very little heat is wasted; the latter of course, being the main downfall of the traditional incandescent light bulb.
Add to this equation that these tiny, almost inconsequential looking LED bulbs and accompanying technology is the fact that they outlive traditional, older style bulbs. Not by hours but by decades. In the home, the advantages are obvious but for commercial applications this durability is a welcome innovation.
Changing bulbs in some settings can be difficult and time consuming – not just the time spent, fiddling replacing the ‘blown’ bulbs but also in terms of the cost of paying maintenance teams to complete small, but essential work.
Saving money is something that we all welcome, from the home to business. Some reports and research suggest that LED lighting can save 300% on energy consumption. Whilst this might seem an exaggeration and something that some of us can only aspire to, LED bulbs use less energy to give off the same bright light – if not brighter than the traditional light bulb.
Either way, saving money without compromising on luminosity is always welcome, as well as the fact that the versatility of LED lighting and technology can create some amazing displays; with many colours and applications to choose from, you will be spoilt for choices when it comes to design of illumination displays.
No matter where you use LEDs – whether it is the home, business, inside or outside – you can vary the design and effects to suit your own ideas and tastes. Why not take a look at LED lighting and technology – will it fit your home or business?
