I am not a nasal spray user myself; however, I did use a natural saline product or made my own when my babies had stuffy noses. Nasal sprays are helpful since babies cannot blow their noses.
We were sent a new natural cold remedy product designed for all ages:
[amazon_link id=”B00EE1CTBY” target=”_blank” ]Boogie Mist Sterile Saline Nasal Spray, Grape Scent [/amazon_link]
Boogie mist sterile saline nasal spray relieves nasal sinus congestion, pressure and irritation caused by common colds and allergies. Made from natural saline, the kid friendly scented “schnozzle” spray nozzle offers a refreshing alternative to intimidating adult alternatives.
When I opened the package, I could tell that the grape scent was pretty strong.
One of our family members regularly uses nasal sprays. I had him try out this product, since I can’t stand nasal sprays. He was also put off by the strong grape sent before even trying the spray. He didn’t like it any better after he tried it.
The ingredient list is “purified water, 0.9% sodium chloride”, so I wonder what is the source of the grape scent?
I don’t think that products need to be overly scented for children. This happens a lot with medicines, toothpastes, etc. Children’s senses are more attune than adults, and scented products can be overpowering, especially to a child with sensory issues.
Boogie Mist is available in an [amazon_link id=”B00EWPQZ0S” target=”_blank” ]unscented[/amazon_link] flavor, which I think would be much more pleasant.

I like your advice about nasal sprays being helpful for babies since they can’t blow their own noses. I imagine that a child-friendly nasal spray like this would make it much easier to relieve a baby of a stuffy nose or allergy symptoms. Even with something as harmless as saline solution, however, I’m sure it would be best to follow the directions to avoid unwanted side effects.
