Little Duck Organics Mighty Oats Packaging You Can Plant!

Outer cardboard embedded with vegetable seeds so you (or the kiddos) can grow veggies at home

My son likes oatmeal in the morning, and although we buy it in bulk, instant flavored cereals can be a nice change and convenient…but oh, the packaging.

Little Duck Organics sent us two flavors of their Mighty Oats Instant Super Cereal and a solution to the packaging problem of convenient food.

Strawberry and vanilla are kind of the Batman and Robin of flavors. A classic duo. One just isn’t the same without the other. And, in this metaphor, Mighty Oats’ hearty blend of ancient grains could be Commissioner Gordon. Maybe it’s not as flashy, but it’s a powerhouse all the same. And so we guess that makes chemical-filled baby snacks and rice cereal the villains, Joker and Riddler and Penguin, terrorizing the good citizens of Gotham. Ooh, and our first-of-its-kind waste-free, compostable, and plantable packaging could be the Batmobile! Yeah, that’s perfect! So…wait…what were we talking about?

  • [amazon_link id=”B00DQHBCGA” target=”_blank” ]Little Duck Organics Mighty Oats Instant Super Cereal Coconut Ancient Grain and Bananas[/amazon_link]

It’s hard being a baby. Eat, sleep, poop, cry, eat, sleep, poop, cry. Same thing day after day. Sometimes you just wish you could get away from it all. You know, pack a diaper bag and jet off to a tropical island. Dip your toes in the kiddie pool. Well, buddy, you’re in luck. Coconut Banana Mighty Oats are basically the Mai Tai of baby food, and because they’re full of nutrient-rich ancient grains and contain no added sugar or nasty chemicals, they’ll make you feel revived and ready for another day of baby living.

I think the best part about these products is the packaging!   The cereal is contained in a compostable cup and the outer packaging contains seeds!   The instructions say to soak this box for one hour then plant in your garden. Awesome!

The Packaging

  • 3 single-serving, on-the-go cups in each pack

  • No wasteful jars, caps, or sleeves to dispose of

  • Cups are compostable, to break down in 6 months time

  • Outer cardboard embedded with vegetable seeds so you (or the kiddos) can grow veggies at home

This is brilliant!   I was going to start my typical rant on single serve products versus bulk, but Little Duck Organics took the wind out of my sail by thinking of everything.  This packaging goes beyond simple recycling!

And of course, the ingredients are organically-grown and GMO-free, as expected from Little Duck Organics.
