With no official certification for natural home products, the term has become deluded as a marketing term. With many companies not fully disclosing ingredients, it can be hard to discern what really is non-toxic and safe for your home. It is equally difficult when looking at body products.
We were sent products by M.boutique, a company offering “Luxury by Nature products” inspired by a boy’s love for his mother who was diagnosed with cancer:
Whilst my mom went through radiation I became obsessed with researching household cleaning products. I purchased so many products that my home began to look like a makeshift storage unit. I wanted to know everything I could about each product from safety to efficacy. In the end, I realized to please my mother’s sensibilities for clean and my sensibilities toward an environmentally and human friendly product I’d have to create it myself.
These products are all sodium laurel sulfate free, but the laundry detergent has sodium laureth sulfate. The body products’ ingredients are easily read and understandable, a good sign indeed! The cleaning products have some products with chemical sounding names, like hydroxyethlmonium which is synthetically derived from palm oil and has a hazard score of 0 from the Environmental Working Group.

I think the flavors of these products is quite interesting. The idea of “smoke” at first somewhat repelled me. Don’t worry, this is not cigarette smoke flavored lotion! I really don’t know what the “smoke” is referring to.
The linen mist smells great in the car. It helps get rid of that doggy and surfboard smell.
