Naturally Clean Appliances with PurTru All-Natural Cleaners

It may seem like there are a lot of natural cleaning products on the market currently, yet when it comes to the tough job of removing build up from appliances, there are few alternatives to chemical cleaners. The dishwasher, the laundry machine, the coffee maker, etc. can develop odors and residue that are tough to remove naturally. Limescale and calcium deposits can ruin machines. Musty odors can be pervasive.

Even though you may use all-natural products to regularly clean your home and clothing, if you are like me, you have turned to chemicals in rare instances when nothing seemed to work. Sometimes vinegar and baking soda don’t cut it.

We were sent PurTru natural cleaning products to try.

All-natural plant based formulation containing no harsh chemicals such as ammonia or bleach while providing enough strength for sanitizing, disinfecting and cleaning.

There are seven products in the all-natural, non-toxic PurTru line:

  • Washing Machine Sanitizing and Cleaning Solution
  • Coffee & Espresso Machine Descaling and Cleaning Solution
  • Dishwasher Machine Disinfecting and Cleaning Solution
  • Ice Maker & Machine Cleaning and Descaling Solution
  • Garbage Disposal Deodorizing and Cleaning Solution
  • Multi Surface Disinfecting and Cleaning Solution
  • Jetted Tub Plumbing System Sanitizing & Cleaning Solution

Not having all of these appliances, I was only able to try out three of the products.

Washing Machine Sanitizing and Cleaning Solution

My washing machine works hard cleaning heavy duty work and fishing clothing. Like most front loading machines, it can get a musty smell if the door is not left ajar.

I’ve tried running the cleaning cycle on the washing machine many times, but I don’t notice much difference. This time I used the PurTru Washing Machine Sanitizing and Cleaning Solution on that cycle, and the inside of the machine sparkled like new. The metal was shiny, and it smelled fresh.

Each bottle contains enough solution for four uses.

  • EFFECTIVE GREEN FORMULA.  All-natural non-toxic pure & clear plant-based liquid formulation containing no harsh chemicals such as ammonia or bleach while providing enough strength for sanitizing, descaling and cleaning.
  • EXTENDS LIFE OF WASHING MACHINES.  For best results use solution every 1 to 3 months or as needed to extend life of washing machine.
  • ELIMINATES ODOR CAUSING BACTERIA.  All-natural clear and odorless solution kills all bacteria while removing mold and other contaminants leaving your clothes smelling fresh and clean.

Multi Surface Disinfecting and Cleaning Solution

This is a great all-around cleaning product safe to use on all surfaces. It is plant-based and odorless. I tried it on wood, tile, and the stainless steel. There are no streaks, and I appreciate how PurTru makes their products’ safety data sheets easily accessible on their website. Plus, they back everything with a no-risk, money back guarantee!

Dishwasher Machine Disinfecting and Cleaning Solution

My dishwasher is very old, and we are not the best at rinsing our dishes before placing them inside. I personally don’t understand the need to disinfect the dishwasher, as the steam cycle at the end should take care of that. Giving the dishwasher a good cleaning is something I neglect.

This PurTru product makes it quick and easy to freshen up the dishwasher. Using the presoak and heavy cycles, this all-natural cleaning solution is super simple to use. My dishwasher didn’t come out as shiny as my washing machine, but it smelled cleanly fresh without any odor. I am grateful it will extend the life of my machine!

No Ammonia or Bleach

All of these products avoid using ammonia and bleach. Ammonia is highly corrosive and damages human cells upon contact. Although the amount in a cleaning product is far less than what is found in fertilizers, ammonia is harmful to the environment, as well. According to Rand Europe, “Ammonia pollution also effects species composition through soil acidification, direct toxic damage to leaves and by altering the susceptibility of plants to frost, drought and pathogens.”

Bleach is another common disinfecting ingredient in cleaning products and does play an important role in keeping humans safe from viruses; however, it is also corrosive and toxic. It can be especially dangerous when mixed with other chemicals.

McKenzie et al. reported in a 2010 pediatric study over a 16-year period that just under 270,000 US children (< 5 years of age) were injured by household cleaning products. Bleach was the leading source (37%) and usually by ingestion (63%). A spray bottle was the most common source (40%).

Bleach Toxicity

PurTru products offer safe, effective solutions to tough appliance problems. Many of these product are the first of their kind on the market! Not only are they all-natural and non-toxic, they extend the life of your appliances and reduce the need for repairs making these products even more eco-friendly!
