Holiday Wrap Up: Our Favorite Eco Gifts

Among all the huba-lo, we received some fabulous eco friendly gifts for Christmas. Hubs is learning well and spent a great deal of time searching for natural lotion, eco friendly packaging, and soy candles.

Here’s our favorites:

Kiss My Face Ultra Moisturizer in peaches & creme. Can I just say, “Yum!”. I’ve been on the search for a natural lotion that actually works. Husband did the work for me and brought this bottle home. It retailed just under $9.00 for 16 ounces. I’m slathering the kids with it post bath and my hands after every washing (I wash a lot, because its the best way to fight germs y’know?). This yummy lotion is paraben free, light and smells luscious.

EcoBags: Classic String Bag. This bag rocks! It stretches out so much I was able to haul our gifts around to family and friends. The kids can toss all their toys in for a day outing. It’s a lifesaver in the produce aisle. It also fits inside my purse so I will never again be without a bag!

St. Claire’s Organics (Vegan, Gluten Free, Natural) Traditional Hot Cocoa Mix. This one passed the kids taste test first thing Christmas morning. The mix can be made with hot water, but we prefer it with hot soy milk.

Soy Candles- these are becoming common place and are a much cleaner option than traditional candles. My favorite is a Nectarine Passionfruit jar candle.

Klean Kanteen- Hubs was the only family member without one to call his own. He received a 27 ounce in black.

Jump rope with wooden handles and real rope. My 6 year old was gifted with a classic jump rope from my Grandmother. It falls in her “favorite gift” category. The handles are wood animals and the rope is just that… plain, white, cotton rope.

Piggy Paint polish. The kiddos received seven bottles of this nontoxic nail color and a bottle of remover. It doesn’t smell at all!

Art & Craft supplies. You just can’t go wrong when giving children the tools to create. Awesome.

Durable Garden Gloves- because the massive garden season is just a few short months away. Plans are in motion.

Wine from local vineyards. Need I say more?

These are just some of our favorites this holiday. What were your favorite eco gifts? Please share in the comments so we can check them out!
