We had our first run in with head lice this school year.  Fortunately, the family and school reacted appropriately, and the infestation did not spread.   With summer camp season on the horizon, the threat of lice still looms.

As a culture, we fear lice.  Perhaps it is the challenge they pose in riddance, or perhaps it is the reminder that we are not as far removed from our neanderthal ancestors’ parasites as we would like to believe.

I think the combs are great products. The shampoo and repellent contain ingredients I would avoid; however, I might use them if we actually had lice and other methods, such as the olive oil treatment, in conjunction with these combs, did not work.
