CitiBlocs: The New Classic Building Block

Crafty creators, budding builders, future architects…my children. Give them something to stack and build and they are ecstatic. From towers to barns to creative works of art, they love to make amazing things.

This new set of CitiBlocs has opened a whole new world to them as little builders.

Made from renewable New Zealand forests of Radiata Pine, CitiBlocs are unique because every block is the same shape and size. They are precisely cut and shaped to make sure they offer stable, quality pieces that can be stacked and balanced. No glue, snaps, or connectors needed. Just a bit of imagination.

My daughter\'s design

CitiBlocs are safe and non-toxic and an instant favorite. My kids have been playing with them for three days now, constantly building something new and fun. They create masterpieces then knock them down (creatively) and build something new.

Another design by my daughter

I think I need to get a few more boxes so they can add to the set and have more to share and more to build. Each natural color small basic set comes with 52 pieces while the red and blue come with 54 pieces. They also come in 100, 200, 300, 500 and 1000 block sets. We don’t have tons of space so I think maybe a 100 piece box would give them enough to share…maybe.

I haven’t factored in my 17 year old who hasn’t even seen them yet. He loves to build and took over the 3 year old’s Lincoln Log set at Christmas (ssh, don’t tell him I told you that). He might want a set for himself. 🙂

My daughter loves the natural colored blocks while my little guy loves the bright colored red and blue. My little guy also loves them since there are no complicated pieces to fit together, nothing to try and pull apart and nothing that can frustrate him. Just pure building pleasure. And when he’s done he can just knock it all down and revel in his destruction joy.

CitiBlocs have won four prestigious awards: Dr. Toy’s Best Vacation Products, Creative Child Magazine’s Preferred Choice Award, GreatDad.com & Mr. Dad Father’s Day Seal of Approval and Tillywig’s Top Fun Award. I can see why. These fun blocks are educational and…addicting. Parents, you might want a set for yourself.

CitiBlocs are very reasonably priced for a natural/eco toy. $15 will get you a 52 piece natural color set, $17 will get you a 54 piece red and blue block set. $28 will nab you a 100 piece set. Check out the CitiBloc store to see which set may be perfect for your budding builders, engineers, and architects. CitiBlocs can also be found at Toys R Us stores.
