The Joy of Green Cleaning by Leslie Reichert

If you want to clean green but don’t want to pay extra for green cleaning products consider making your own. The Joy of Green Cleaning by Certified Green Cleaner Leslie Reichert is full of recipes to make your own eco-friendly cleaning supplies with things you probably already have in your home. Like lemon juice, baking soda and white vinegar.

The Joy of Green Cleaning isn’t full of a bunch of information you have to sift through before getting to the recipes. This book is all green cleaning recipes: multi-purpose cleaner, all purpose liquid cleaner, dish soap, daily counter cleaner (white vinegar, water and a few drops of lemon essential oil), baking soda scrubbing paste, cutting board sanitizer, stainless steel polish, and many more.

All made out of common household products. Many use salt, baking soda, borax, and/or club soda.

I have pretty much all the ingredients for most of the recipes, everything except the castile soap. Oh I don’t have any all natural soap flakes for the laundry either. But salt, club soda, lemon juice, vinegar, baking soda…all pretty common things to have stocked. And they make so many all natural green cleaning products.

This book will easily help you make your own green cleaning supplies.

You’ll be amazed at what you can clean with what you have.

So clean green this holiday season without spending an extra dime.

Soap flakes sources may be found at http://www.soap-flakes.com

I think Leslie, the author of the book also sells them.

    Hope this helps.

The best homemade detergent for cleaning walls, floors and grease is just combining some environmentally friendly dish soap (without phosphates), water and white vinegar. It’s so effective that we even use it at my work.
