Transforming Culture Through Clothing: Lotus Blossom Style Organic Cotton Onesie

lotus blossom style organic onesieI’ve always been attracted to the lotus blossom, and I used to embroider it often on the clothes I made and sold. Lotus Blossom Style shares my affinity for this flower, because it represents their mission as a company.  The lotus flower is a “sacred plant which symbolizes coming into your potential” and “represents the journey from unconscious to the conscious.”  One of my goals as an eco-parent is to raise conscious children, just like Lotus Blossom Style wishes to inspire their customers to be all that they can be.

The Baby Buddha Love Onesie is made from organic cotton. Organic cotton is healthier for baby and the planet.

We all absorb chemicals through our skin and through our environment.  Babies and young children’s skin is thinner than adults and therefore more sensitive to these chemicals.  Choosing organic cotton safeguards your child from the pesticides, insecticides and other toxins used to grow and manufacture conventional cotton products and helps transform the marketplace into a healthier and more conscious one for ALL.

Lotus Blossom Style is a member of 1% for the Planet, an alliance of companies that donates at least 1% of their annual net revenues to environmental organizations worldwide.

Obviously, the solution is not as simple as changing an incandescent bulb to a CFL. But 1% For The Planet is enabling businesses to take a lead role in being environmental stewards and to set an example for the rest of the business community. These companies embrace the notion that the sustainability of the natural environment is fundamental to the sustainability of business.

Not only does Lotus Blossom Style care about the environment, but they care about their customers spirituality and well-being.

Gandhi has been quoted with saying, “be the change you wish to see in the world.” At Lotus Blossom Style, we wish to see all people living their truth and living with a respect and understanding that we are all connected and every act we take has an effect on our entire Planet.

It is our vision that wearing our garments made from earth-friendly materials and methods designed with ancient sacred images and positive, inspirational messages will have a healthy and positive effect on the wearer and all those they come into contact with.

I believe we can never start to young inspiring and empowering our children with postive messages! I’d much rather my child wore an image of the baby Buddha than Elmo any day.
