Give the Kids a Personalized Santa Sack Full of Gifts

In addition to all the beautiful, reusable fabric gift bags that Ecorations have to offer, this year for the holidays they have a new Santa Sack that can be personalized with your child’s name on it.

Made from organic cotton the Ecorations Santa Sack is large, almost 23 inches tall and 13 inches in diameter this large bag can be filled with gifts.

The Santa Sack is bright red and can be personalized with the child’s name in script orblock font. Can you imagine the look on your child’s face when they see Santa left them a whole bag of goodies just for them? And the sturdy bag can be used again and again, year after year. It can become a family tradition to fill the Santa sack full of goodies.

Of course if you don’t want to put all the gifts in one bag Ecorations has a wide selection of fabric prints and bag sizes from small pouches to large gift bags.

I’m not going that far, because I’m not the parent. But my younger niece, nephew, and 3 cousins I buy Christmas gift for are getting them in fabric bags that can be used to store the gifts. Older Niece, Sis, and Brother in law it will depend on what I get them. I usually get some type of experience GS instead of things for them.

That Santa Sack is just another thing that will get tossed aside. Here is consumerism and greenwashing at its best. Nice that it’s organic cotton – but I would rather spend my dollars on an actual gift with longevity for my child. The accoutrements of the holidays are usually cute – but have a short life span. Not very green.

PureMothers, while I can appreciate your personal sentiment, I’d like to mention a couple things for others to consider. First, not everyone has the resources, knowledge or desire to become “green” to the highest standards, but most will make the attempt to do the right thing when a product is available, easy to use and affordable. These sacks provide a solution to the problem of millions of pounds of wrapping paper ending up in the landfills. This Santa Sack is one way for families to make an incremental change in their holiday practices (and save money) by not individually wrapping gifts. Second, is something that is made of 10 oz organic canvas and durable enough to last 50+ years with proper care – a short life span for a consumer product? These bags are made with the highest quality to ensure their long-term use as part of a new family tradition. Finally, these bags represent the joy of the holidays for kids, done in an eco-friendly way.

If you are someone that just tosses things aside then you shouldn’t even bother.

These bags are for the person who really makes an effort to make a difference and cherishes the little things.

I have the same of the same Christmas decorations and stockings that I had as a child 30 years ago, plus I have ornaments that have been passed down through the generations.

I was taught from the start that life shouldn’t be disposable.

The type of person that uses these bags understands that.

So maybe PureMothers, if you would consider tossing this bag, you aren’t as green as you claim to be.

Personally, I use Furoshiki wrapping for gifts and re-use paper that has not been torn too badly for wrapping gifts. I try to hold on to things for a long time and not toss things aside. I try to repair things first. Many Americans live a disposable life and just replace broken items before trying to repair them – and they just may end up using this Santa Sack for 1 Christmas and then forget about it. It is cute, as I said, and some families may like it, but I can have my opinion about excessive consumerism, thank you, Wenona. Why don’t you check out http://www.thestoryofstuff.com .
