I Made Almond Milk!

Three years ago, Tiffany Washko taught us how to make homemade almond milk.  For three years, I have meant to try.  It took my friends on an Ejuva Cleansing Program to inspire and teach me how to make almond milk.

Essential to making homemade almond is a nut milk bag.  If you try to use cheesecloth, you will be frustrated!  Other than that, I was surprised at how easy and delicious it is to make your own nut milk!

Homemade Almond Milk Recipe

  • Soak almonds for at least 12 hours in water.  I use about two cups of almonds, but you can vary the recipe for any amount.  I don’t measure ingredients.
  • Drain and rinse almonds.
  • Place in a blender.  Add water to about one inch above the level of almonds.
  • Add three dates, a little vanilla, and a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Blend well.
  • Pour into nut bag, and squeeze the milk out like you are milking a cow. Save the leftover almond pulp for smoothies, pancakes, yogurt, etc.

So easy and so yummy!  I am hooked on homemade almond milk!

Oh, I need to do this! I have been wanting to make my own almond milk now for quite a while but because of ignorance, just didn’t. Thanks for posting this. I am excited now!
