Gratitude Gift Bags: To Keep or Give…Wrap Again and Again!

cloth reusable gift bags

Gratitude Gift Bags

There is nothing more wasteful than wrapping paper.  Even when you buy [amazon_link id=”B005QAVBGQ” target=”_blank” ]recycled gift wrap[/amazon_link], it ends up in the garbage or recycling bin.   In fact, I think my hate for wrapping presents comes from the fact that it is a futile use of time and energy since it is torn off and discarded so easily.

Alternatives to traditional wrapping paper do exist.  Paper gift bags have become quite trendy, and they do tend to be reused.   An even better idea is cloth gift bags.

Gratitude Gift Bags are one such alternative:

Our mission at Gratitude Gift Bags is to design, manufacture, and bring to market an easy-to-use, environmentally-friendly, and cost-effective way to wrap gifts. Our goal is to develop and distribute a collection of high quality gift bags made of resilient fabric materials that appeal to people looking for a reusable, regiftable, and green alternative to paper wrap and bags. We hope to challenge outdated and environmentally careless methods of wrapping gifts. It is our hope to change how the world perceives disposable paper wrapping with the goal of transitioning to reusable fabric bags.

We were sent a lovely gift bag to try.  It is well made.  These bags are simple and easy to use.

Actually, I think it would be a great project to use them as inspiration for children to make their own gift bags.

My only criticism is to be truly sustainable, these gift bags should be made from organic fabrics.   They are made in the USA.
