Happy Oatmeal Month: Nature’s Path Gluten-free, Organic Qi’a Superfood Packets

qia

Although I practice intermittent fasting and do not eat until after 11:00 am,  sometimes I choose lunch over breakfast and sometimes vice versa. About a year ago, I discovered Nature’s Path Qi’a and fell in love.  I add coconut, almonds, banana, raspberries, and almond milk to the mix.  It is a powerful, superfood, organic first meal of the day that keeps me going!

In celebration of January being Oatmeal Month (who knew?), we were sent Qi’a superfood oatmeal packets.  I was super excited when I opened the package!  There are three gluten-free, organic flavors to try.

Superseeds & Grains takes the Qi’a superfood concept to the next level with the addition of quinoa and amaranth. Cultivated for thousands of years in South America for its drought resistance, it has long been immensely popular – and not just for its rich, nutty flavour. Quinoa is a protein powerhouse, one of few plant proteins to offer all eight essential amino acids. We’ve paired quinoa with the original Qi’a super seed trio to bring you the most nutritious breakfast possible to fuel your day.

Experience the indulgent side of Qi’a with Creamy Coconut, with the deliciously creamy addition of coconut. The coconut palm tree is known as the “tree of life,” and for good reason. Coconuts are a delightful way to nourish your body with great taste and high fibre.

A deliciously spiced oatmeal, Cinnamon Pumpkin Seed offers the warming flavour of cinnamon with the crunch of pumpkin seeds. Full of high quality plant-based protein, fibre, and omega-3s, pumpkin seeds are the perfect crunchy complement to Qi’a’s superfood blend.

Yum!

My kids love oatmeal packets because they are convenient and easy to make before school. I love that they can make their own breakfast during this hurried time in our daily lives, and that I can trust Nature’s Path to use organic, gluten free ingredients.

Everything is 100% organic in these superfood oatmeal packets.  They only have a 150 calories per serving, so they are great if you are watching your weight.  Superfoods are great for weight loss!

Nature’s Path is a rare company in the world of organic food resisting large corporate takeovers.

Someone recently posted a review to our Facebook wall requesting that we never “sell out to a huge conglomerate.” Our co-founder, Arran Stephens, jumped in personally with a definitive answer: “We never will sell out.”

Ours is a multiple-generational, family legacy company, and no part of it is for sale. Even though we’ve grown from a small-scale operation making cereal in the back kitchen of a restaurant into an internationally available organic food brand, Nature’s Path is still fuelled by Arran’s own fierce independence. He has seen friends in the industry succumb to buyouts, and vowed early on that his company would never compromise its values for the sake of shareholders.

I love Nature’s Path!
