Hello Kitty Sigg Water Bottle: Message on a bottle

hello_kitty

My mantra is hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.  It is especially important for children to drink water.  Juice and milk are not the same.

One way to make water drinking appealing to children is to provide them with a fun water bottle.  We were sent a SIGG Hello Kitty Monkey Water Bottle:

  • Swiss-Made Aluminum Water Bottle

  • BPA and Phthalates Free

  • Each of our bottles are 100% recyclable and can therefore really be reused-time and time again

What I really like about this bottle is not only the cute monkey costume Hello Kitty is wearing, but the white message bubble.   It reminds of how parents will put little notes in children’s school lunches.  Now you can send a personal message on your child’s water bottle!

Hello Kitty has things to say : Use a soft felt tip pen to customize your Hello Kitty Bottle. The speech bubble can be used as a name tag, or just express a feeling. Also family and friends can say hi!

What I don’t like about this bottle is that it is made of aluminum and thus requires a coating.  In the past, Sigg got in trouble for not disclosing or telling the truth about BPA in its lining. Now, Sigg bottles are made with an EcoCare liner:

The new EcoCare liner by SIGG is comprised of many ingredients. The primary compounds utilized are a special combination of ultra-thin layer forming co-polyesters, many of which are commonly found in different variations across a variety of well-known food and beverage brand products. The materials used in producing the liner are BPA-Free and Phthalate-Free, as well as being free of any VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Additional ingredients used during the manufacturing process guarantee that the new EcoCare Liner by SIGG is durable, highly effective, and applied more efficiently. This improved efficiency helps to improve capacity and thus allows SIGG to better satisfy the growing global demand for SIGG products.

The new EcoCare liner by SIGG also contains various flow enhancing additives. These waxy solids found in naturally occurring fatty acids, guarantee that the liner can be applied uniformly, thus greatly increasing the products durability.

All ingredients used in the formulation and manufacturing of the new EcoCare liner by SIGG comply with the required EU and FDA guidelines, including EG 1935/2004 and FDA 21 CFR 175.300.

Disclosure: The products described above were sent to us as free samples. Prior assurances as to the nature of the reviews, whether positive or negative, were not given. No financial payments were accepted in exchange for the reviews. The reviews reflect our honest, authentic opinions.
